Join me at my Community Office (2849 Dundas St. W.) on Monday May 27th at 6pm.
This initiative is inspired by "phone zapping", a tool that has long been used in organizing. Phoning your government does three things very effectively:
- Allows the government to hear directly the people’s voices on issues.
- Increases visibility of the issue as phone messages are harder to miss or ignore
- When done consistently and in great numbers, phoning slows down the government’s ability to take action on issues that are not supported by the public.
This is a great opportunity to let the government know your opinion on legislative changes made, and future direction. Please RSVP below.
On June 1st, join Bhutila Karpoche (MPP, Parkdale–High Park) and Chris Glover (MPP, Spadina–Fort York) for a free film screening of The Human Element.
In an arresting new documentary from the producers of Racing Extinction, The Cove and Chasing Ice, environmental photographer James Balog captures the lives of everyday Americans on the front lines of climate change. With rare compassion and heart, The Human Element inspires us to reevaluate our relationship with the natural world.
An RSVP is required to attend this event as seating is limited.
This event is free and the venue is fully accessible. All welcome.
